We were joined by many parents and carers at our Bonfire Night Stay and Play session. The children had access to many activities to support their learning across all areas.
Some of our children took part in our 'Farm to Fork' cooking activities. We made vegetable soup, egg sandwiches, tomato cakes, apple crumble and cheese scones as we explained to the children where our food is grown . Ava brought in some apples from her tree and we used the tomatoes that were grown in our playgroup garden to make tomato cakes. One of our children brought in some eggs from her chickens and we made egg sandwiches.
A few of our children visited the residents at 1 Oak. This is a great time for both our children and those at 1 Oak as the older people join in with games and activities with the younger ones. They all had a fun time with the Christmas themed activities.
The children enjoyed a ride there and back in the 1 Oak mini bus.
We finished the Autumn Term with our Staff Pantomime....The Princess and the Frog 🐸. The staff and the children had a great time. Our older children performed an amazing Nativity in Acton Church and then all our children enjoyed a disco and a visit from Santa in the village hall.
